Creative Design


Overall Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate directly with clients and project teams to understand client objectives and project design requirements
  • Develop and present standout creative executions that support agreed upon goals and strategy
  • Provide art direction, guidance and coaching to staff of designers
  • Create cross-channel visual communication strategies (digital, print, motion, environmental)
  • Collaborate with producers to supervise and direct photo-shoots and media edits
  • Consult with external creative resources and specialists to achieve project goals
  • Stay current with technology trends and demonstrate technical competence
  • Mentor all Graphics production staff, providing ongoing feedback and career development
  • Partner with manager to adapt existing client creative and style-guides to new deliverable formats
  • Maintain a high standard of executional quality including review and mark-up of staff design work

 Pre-Production Process

  • Work with the proposal team on proposal strategy and development
  • Develop and present design concepts that support agreed upon strategies
  • Articulate strategy behind design concepts related to our clients’ needs
  • Recommend designers and artists who are best suited to each project  
  • Work with Account Management and Production to assign creative resources to the appropriate projects and proposals

 Production Process

  • Work with assigned resources on projects to ensure understanding of objectives and adherence to InVision process and quality standards
  • Ensure production of creative concepts is consistent with original design and client’s objectives
  • Produce graphic design or artwork as needed 
  • Present proposals to clients in pitch situations 

 Post- Production Process

  • Participate in internal and client post-con meetings
  • Establish procedures for maintaining high standards of service, quality and creativity
  • Evaluate external resources to ensure service, quality and creative standards are met

 Department Management

  • Work with the Director, Creative and Strategic Communications to establish and implement clear processes and procedures
  • Plan and set goals for department annually
  • Meet regularly with the Director, Creative and Strategic Communications to review department progress against goals
  • Resource and contract with external artistic resources to maintain a full spectrum of resources to match our client’s changing communication objectives
  • Manage and mentor all design production staff, providing ongoing feedback and career development
  • Conduct bi-monthly department meetings

Office Responsibilities

  • Keep abreast of emerging technology used in creative design and production 
  • Keep staff current with design trends, developments and tools
  • Special projects as assigned by Director, Creative and Strategic Communications


  • Excellent project management skills, includes the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and creative processes to all levels of audiences and within formal presentations
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and direct designers work
  • Cross-platform experience and knowledge
  • Passion for providing excellent service and quality
  • Proficient in aspects of visual composition, layout and image enhancement
  • Great sense of composition, typography and visual timing
  • Ability to engage in detailed visual storytelling
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and direct designers work

 Your Toolset:

  • Expert-level user of Adobe CS
  • Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Apple Keynote
  • Proficient in motion-graphics and video editing packages (AfterEffects, Final Cut)
  • Experience working with web development toolsets (jQuery, HTML, CSS, XML, etc.)
  • Familiarity with mobile and digital development workflows, wireframing, etc.
  • Ability to storyboard media concepts from beginning to end
  • Comfort authoring for mixed Mac/PC environments

 HOURS:  The normal working hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. (40 hours a week), however due to the nature and the scope of the position hours may be flexible.

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Ability to perform job duties that may include an average amount of lifting (+ or – 25lbs.), sitting, bending, stooping and standing is required.

 TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:  Moderate travel is associated with this position.  Travel for INVISION related business is reimbursable at the amount allotted under state & federal guidelines.  An expense sheet must be submitted for reimbursement

 EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  This position requires a minimum of ten (10) years of print and digital and/or media experience and prior management experience.
